Description

An imported Methyl Ethyl Ketone Peroxide (MEKP) catalyst from Polyklear Fiberglass + Resin used to cure unsaturated polyester and vinyl ester resins in the presence of a cobalt accelerator . The curing system of Klearnox-100 is especially suitable for the curing of gelcoat and laminated resins. Because of its low water content and the absence of polar compounds, Klearnox-100 is very suitable for use in the production of GFRP products for marine applications. It is added to polyester and vinyl ester resins at 1-2% of resin weight.

Caution: Never mix MEKP catalyst with cobalt accelerator directly; such action might result in an explosion or combustion. Store in separate areas where mixing through accidental spillage is impossible. When working with resins, make sure the accelerator is thoroughly mixed with the resin first, before adding the catalyst.
